Investing in the women leaders working in crisis
Close to ½ of women’s organizations are at the brink of closing down. Together, we can sustain them.
Make your tax-deductible donation today.
Where the Way Leads accepts donations through a Swiss-based donor-advised fund platform TrustBridge Global Foundation.
FUNDING THE NEXT GENERATION OF WOMEN LEADERS TAKES ALL OF US
Your donation helps sustain women-led organisations and brings us closer to a world where women and girls have access to justice.
For every 30,000 USD raised, the Fund aims to help:
sustain women leaders working on the frontlines in some of the toughest places;
catalyse systemic opportunities such as strengthening laws and mechanisms for protection of at risk populations
strengthen the safety and stability of 15,000 survivors, at-risk populations and their family members.

Currently, donations are tax deductible in the following countries: the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Croatia, Romania, the Czech Republic, Indonesia, Australia, and New Zealand.
Donors should speak with their own tax advisor to understand what deductions apply to them.
-
We issue a formal receipt for eligible donations. Receipts may include the donor’s name, donation date, amount or declared value, and a description of the gift.
For year-end giving, donors should begin the transfer early enough to make sure the donation is received within the intended tax year.

Donations of 30,000 USD can be allocated for specific purposes, location or grantee who the Fund is already working with.
The Fund encourages flexible contributions because they allow resources to go where they are most needed.
-
Depending on the nature of the gift, donors may receive grantmaking updates, impact summaries, learning reflections, and information about how grantee partners are strengthening access to justice.
Because some partners work in sensitive or high-risk settings, the Fund may limit identifying details, images, locations, or personal stories to protect the safety and dignity of survivors, staff, and communities.
Partners of the Fund can also participate in invite-only events and meetings with grantee partners.
-
Potential grantee partners may be identified through trusted networks and aligned funders.
The Fund considers whether an organization is:
Women-led or locally grounded;
Working on access to justice for survivors of violence and at-risk populations;
In a conflict-affected or fragile setting; and
Trusted by the communities it serves.
-
Our partner TrustBridge conducts due diligence before funds are disbursed.
This may include reviewing an organization’s charitable purpose, governance documents, financial information, board and leadership details, sanctions and compliance risk, proposed use of funds, and alignment with charitable purposes.
